Highlight a Few of Our Own

Greg Fettes- Left
17’s - Greg Fettes (pictured left in photo) is
a catcher who will once again anchor the
2010 17U edition of the South Oakland A’s .
In his younger years, he was a multiple selection on TravelBallSelect’s All American
teams. Since then, he has simply gotten bigger, better, and stronger as each year has passed. He is the type of athlete that when he walks on the field, you just know
that this young man is “Player”. Greg now stands at 6’2” 195lbs that has the complete package as a catcher, hitter, and runner. He runs a 7 second 60, hits with power and
blocks and throws extremely well. Last year, he pounded 18 home runs during the travel baseball season. As a catcher, he has an extremely strong arm with a 1.95 pop
time. It is no surprise that he is being recruited by many of the major D1 schools in Michigan and across the country. One fact the sums it all up is that you can expect that, as a junior, Greg is already being mentioned as a top candidate for the state of
Michigan’s “Mr. Baseball” for 2010.

Brett Sundae - right
16’s - Brett Sunde of the South Oakland A’s 16U 2010 team. This past season, as a
14 year old, Brett had the fastest pop time of all 14 - 18 year olds in the 18U Michigan in Mount Pleasant show case. Even more impressive, he then went on to post the 3rd
fastest time in the 18u Florida Showcase registering a 1.92 pop time. In his 2009
season, he threw out 19 of 23 runners. Brett has just turned 15 years old, and will play up an age level on the South Oakland A’s 16U Green team. This team is expected
to be one of the top teams in the nation during 2010. He has already opened the eyes of many college coaches. At his current pace, he will most certainly be a solid D1 College and Pro prospect. At 15 years, he already has a frame to support his power as he now stands at 5’11” 192 lbs and growing. He is also a power hitter who, as a freshman, was a solid starter on his high schools Varsity team while performing as one of their very best hitters.
